Young African American Women Conference

Young African American Women Conference

On Saturday, April 13, our GBLA team held a booth in the Young African American Women’s Conference. We revolved our theme on the impacts of social media. As the conference members attended our booth, we conducted an activity in hopes to start a chain reaction of encouragements. We had girls write an affirmative note on a small notecard. Then we asked the girls to pass the card on to someone throughout the rest of the day. We wanted to show the girls how easy and heartening it is to make someone’s day! Our GBLA team was able to take this opportunity to reach out to our community and combat the mental health stigmas of social media hand in hand.
