Self Confidence

Self Confidence

For our final Friday event our team focused on self confidence. We passed out index cards and ask students to write at least one thing they loved about themselves. Some would think about it for a long time and even tell a GBLA team member, "there's nothing I love (positive) about myself." We then realized how some students don't see themselves in a positive way. Some of us gave them examples about ourselves. We even acknowledged them and said something positive about them like for example, "you look like you're a very athletic person! I bet you're a great athlete!" They would smile and immediately would become more confident! Then students will proceed to tape their cards onto a wall paper that said, "I love myself because..."
