I feel stressed when... I overcome my stress by...
For our second Friday Lunch event, our GBLA team prepared an activity centered around anxiety and depression. We set up two big posters side by side. One said “I am stressed because…” and the other said “I can overcome my stress by…” Students came to our booth and filled out post-it notes finishing the statements to both posters. Then students would go and put their post-its on the two posters. We held this activity in hopes that students could spend time genuinely assessing where their anxieties stemmed from and how they could effectively combat their worries. We also hoped that by making the huge posters for all to see, students would know that they are not alone in their struggles.
